A Living Room Revamped

I had already recovered the piano bench and an automan. But the room has been totally rearranged. AND over the last few days I have recovered and added padding to my sewing stool. (It looks rediculous, but is SO very nice for my toosh!!! It was the first project, and I'm sure helped in the swiftness of the rest of the projects) I have made three pillows, a large table cloth and two small ones, recovered another pillow-type automan, modge podged some fabric onto some cardboard boxes for cute storage, and recovered the bulletin/picture board.  All of this has been done since Sunday, and I am quite pleased with the outcome. (Excuse me while I pat myself on the back... haha) Now I feel like I can finally rest in the living room. In the next week I plan to tackle the walls and painting. Can't wait to have it all together! AH! YAY! Hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I do.
OH, and the pictures were all taken with my phone. Ha. Sorry about that.

Heatless Curls

So I was looking at some of my blog reader the other day and I came across this post from Lil Blue Boo. Curls in 5 minutes? Without a curling iron? That is this mama's dream! I do basically nothing with my hair anymore because it is more time consuming than I care for. Especially with little J tugging at my feet and trying to grab the curling iron, hairspray or gel. =) So I gave it a try, and I am a believer. I think this is my new favorite AND easy hair-do.

Watch the video and try it yourself!

My hair was dry before putting it up. All I used was some gel.

Ah the glories of easy curls!

I'm Still Alive

Some have wondered where I have been. Why haven't I posted. Have I stopped blogging. For you few friends out there wondering this, I am here to tell you- I AM STILL ALIVE. Barely. Our summer months have been INSANE. It all started with a move of residence the beginning of May. A week and a half later we began traveling, vacationing, visiting family, and participating in weddings of dear friends. I personally have not been home for an entire week since then. Sunday night will mark the first full week home for me since early May.  Luckily the next trip we have planned is in August. And then baby Rose comes end of September. Wow, what a whirlwind.

BUT in my spare time I have been sewing, constructing, and organizing the new home. I am almost, ALMOST completely done with the girl's room.... and hopefully in a few days I will have pictures to share. I am quite pleased, and yes- proud- of the outcome. But, you'll have to wait and see!!!

So, there's a quick tid-bit of what's been going on in our life. I will soon return with some pictures. =)

Enjoy your Friday night, all!!!!
