To Wear or Not To Wear- That Is The Question

So, I have decided that I would love to put our baby in cloth diapers. I really like the idea. Now, it does seem a bit nastier, but really now.... you know how sensative my skin and body is. I cannot imagine a child of mine being able to handle plastic and whatever else made diapers. It just doesn't seem very nice to our baby's toosh. I may try it for a week, or two, or 3 months and then decide I have had enough. BUT my plan as of now is to use cloth diapers unless we are someplace where I absolutely need to use store bought ones. I've been reading up on all different kinds. And I also want to try some home-made cute ones. Here is a link to a fun diaper making site. So, if anyone wants a project or wants to make us a gift for Little Jewel/Noah... here you go! (Just be sure to make ones that work for both a baby boy or girl.... until I give birth and we find out!!! YAY CLOTH DIAPERS!!! (I had better invest in a good smellproof container for the used ones.... and some goooooooooood detergent!)

Due Dates, Due Dates, Due Dates

Does anyone really know when a child will enter the world? Other than God? I think not... and yet it seems that we spend nearly the whole 9 months of a pregnancy guessing. We have already gotten 3 different due dates. Our first due date was Nov 8, which would have been cool seeing as it is (Aunt) Meredith Short's b-day, Sean Draper's b-day, and our very own Grandma Mittelstadt's day of birth.
But now, after going to our first ultrasound appointment, it seems that is incorrect and the doctor measured little Baby Short as 1 inch exactly on Friday the 17th. And since all babys grow at EXACTLY the same rate in the womb, or so it would appear, our baby measured exactly 9 weeks. That gives us our second due date of Nov 22, I believe. Thanksgiving baby!
Yet, still, I found some conflicting information in a calendar of mine here at home, and from this information, which I deem most reliable, we get the third due date: Nov 17!!!!

Yes, looking at family history from both sides I have no idea what to expect. Pam carried each of the boys 8 months exactly. Now, one wonders, was the their cycle or hers? I don't know. And my mom let us stay in there and bake a little more. I was two weeks late, and unfortunatly my weight of 9lb's 15 oz made her pay a bit. So, what will our childs baking time be? When will it pop its head into the world and say, HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!? Only time will tell, but feel free to guess!

So this is first attempt at Baby's Wishlist...... its THE room. so i'm hoping the bedding and accessories don't get outed by Target and Baby's R Us. I looooove this CoCaLo Alphabet Soup Crib Bedding Set. You can just go ahead and start buying it now if it goes on sale, or making things to match this.... cuz it's not gona change. Boy or Girl, it stays..... not that we're finding out the sex anyways. Now, lets see if I can figure out how to get a picture of it to appear?

History of Baby Short

SURPRISE!!!! Robert and I found out on March 14 that we are pregnant! Yes, I am "with child", "prego", "preggers", "in the family way", "expecting".... how ever you choose to say it. Fact is, there is a little baby Short growing in my belly! Not too much has changed since finding this news out..... i mean, if you dont count me needing like 12 hrs of sleep a night rather than the normal 8-10, eating more food than i quite possibly ever have, having random crying spurts, and not quite looooving the mornings. Buuuuut- Robert is amazing and brings me breakfast in bed every morning now! How is it that I am so blessed?!?!? (Maybe he has finally figured out it is the only way to make me wake up at 7:45 with him). But I choose to believe that he is loving me as Christ loves the church. Amen? Amen. We took a picture when we found out that I am pregnant... and although my clothes are starting not to fit, I still dont look pregnant yet. But we will take a picture soon to let you all see my non-pregnant looking self. Signing off for now- daddy just got home for some lunch!!!! Yay!!!
